This spec home was built in 1928 by George B. Echols who named the home “El Deseo Real”. The Royal Desire. Lanning Architecture was tasked by the current owner to remodel the home and add new balconies and a colonnade to the existing structure. The clients also requested a new elevator up to the 2nd floor to help facilitate aging in place. Other site improvements included a BBQ area with a ramada, and an exercise building with and outdoor shower. With every new addition our goal was to respect and enhance this significant historic Spanish Colonial Revival home.
