The Johnson Hillsman residence is a composite of old world charm and modern innovation. The adobe great room is the core of the home; distressed wood elements and antique columns were carefully curated by the builder James Gray to provide a unique character to the home. The bedroom wings of the home were built with insulated concrete forms to better protect the home from the summer sun. The ICF walls are covered with integral color plaster to give it a sense of timelessness. This home is carefully placed on a unique 3 acre parcel that backs up to the Saguaro National Park East.
