SAN PEDRO CHAPEL MASTER PLAN

Year Completed: 2004

Location: Tucson, AZ

The San Pedro Chapel was Tucson’s first “Landmark” historic structure. The adobe chapel was constructed in 1932 and served as the parish church for the Fort Lowell neighborhood. In the 1990’s the Fort Lowell Neighborhood Association purchased the property to serve as their community center. Lanning Architecture was hired to lead a master planning process to improve the property and render a vision for the future. Through several phases the historic structures were restored and a new adobe office building was added to the site. With these improvements the site has thrived as the community center of the neighborhood.
